A Service Award dinner was given on December 16, 2003 for the Washington, North Carolina employees. The awards were given for those individuals who worked for the Hackney North Carolina Plant for 5 years or more. A meal of turkey, dressing and all the fixings was served. Door Prizes were given out among those employees who attended.

Mike Tucker, President of Hackney, presented each employee with his or her Service Award. Each recipient received a Certificate, Bank of America Gift Card and a personally chosen service award gift. Those employees with 20 or more years also received a plaque.

Three employees were recognized with this prestigious award. Charles Mason worked with Hackney 40 years and is now enjoying retirement. Julius Brauer, Engineering Trailer Product Line Manager, has been with Hackney 40 years. Ray Winstead, Engineering Body Product Line Manager has also been with Hackney 40 years.
