On November 7, 2003, Hackney NC surpassed one full year without any "Lost
Time Accidents". Hackney applauds the employees for being safety conscious
in their day to day duties. It takes a lot of effort on everyone's part
for no accidents to occur. In honor of this incredible accomplishment
lunch was served to the entire NC facility which included prime rib,
shrimp, baked potato, salad and dessert.
Mike Dan ford, Risk Control from PMA Insurance out of Charlotte was the
keynote speaker. PMA is the Worker's Compensation carrier for Specialized
Vehicles Corporation. Mr. Danford expressed his thoughts on this
Manufacturing Facility to be recognized for such a great honor as no "Lost
Time Accidents". He commented "that this was a rarity and we should be
very proud of this accomplishment".
